Alex Cobb Has Another Solid Start Saturday
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starter Alex Cobb picked up his sixth victory of the season Saturday night, throwing 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball against the Seattle Mariners with six strikeouts, four walks, no home runs and five hits allowed. It's Cobb's third consecutive start giving up one earned run or less, bringing his ERA down to 3.96 on the year. It's been a while since Cobb was an effective pitcher, as he hasn't had an ERA below 4.30 since 2017 with the Tampa Bay Rays. He wasn't expected to have much fantasy relevance before this year, but he has been a solid contributor in multiple categories and can help any fantasy manager looking for a starting pitcher.
