6 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Alex Collins turned in his best rushing game of the season thus far against the Denver Broncos in Week 3. Collins made the most of his season-high 18 carries as he rolled for 68 yards and a touchdown. It marked the seventh career time on eight occasions that he has rushed for at least 50 yards when he has garnered 15 or more carries. For his career, he has only hit the 50-yard mark three times with less than 15 carries. The third-year back still wasn't able to break any real big runs, but he did have four runs of five or more yards, including two carries where he gained 10 or more yards. But the 24-year-old did add three receptions for six yards against the Broncos, giving him 10 games with multi-catch games over his last 12 contests. Collins is clearly the Ravens No. 1 running back, but he is still sharing the backfield workload with third-down specialist Javorius Allen. Up next is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who Collins had tremendous success against last season, tallying 202 yards on 21 attempts in two games.--Daniel Benjamin
