Alex Dickerson Signs With Atlanta
3 years agoFree-agent outfielder Alex Dickerson signed a one-year deal worth $1 million with the Atlanta Braves. Dickerson did have a career-high 13 home runs in 2021 with the San Francisco Giants, but other than that he was mostly underwhelming with a .233/.304/.420 slash line, 38 RBI and 37 runs scored in 283 at-bats over 111 games. The 31-year-old isn't guaranteed an Opening Day roster spot, and if he does make Atlanta's roster, he'll most likely be a bench bat against right-handed pitchers. Dickerson has 23 combined home runs in the last two years with the Giants and has slugged 39 career long balls with a .260/.330/.470 slash line in five big-league seasons (three with the San Diego Padres).
