4 years agoCarolina Hurricanes forward Alex Galchenyuk was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday, with forward Egor Korshkov and defenseman David Warsofsky heading in the opposite direction. Galchenyuk is joining his seventh NHL team just 48 hours after the Hurricanes acquired him from the Ottawa Senators. Carolina waived him straight away and Galchenyuk will simply be a depth piece for the Leafs as well. Korshkov scored in his NHL debut last season but featured just once for Toronto and he is spending this season in the KHL. The 25-year-old has collected 31 points in 53 regular-season games for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, so he seems to have some upside. Warsofsky is a 30-year-old journeyman, who has spent most of his career in the AHL and he isn't fantasy relevant.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
