7 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon was scratched from Thursday's lineup due to a stiff neck and a sore hip. It seems likely that Gordon will be day-to-day, avoiding a trip to the disabled list. He injured himself during a diving catch that he made on Wednesday against the St. Louis Cardinals. Gordon, who has dealt with injuries earlier in the season, is a carrying a .270 average across 137 plate appearances to go along with four homers and 10 RBI. In regards to fantasy, there is not a lot to like about Gordon's situation. Ramon Torres will replace him in the lineup and bat ninth.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
