3 years agoMinnesota Twins first baseman/outfielder Alex Kirilloff (knee) is dealing with mild left knee soreness and was removed from the Grapefruit League game against the Kansas City Royals early as a precaution on Saturday. Kirilloff doesn't have any structural damage in his knee, but he'll be re-evaluated on Sunday and still has a shot to be ready on Opening Day next week. But if the 24-year-old has to begin the year on the injured list, it could give opportunities to Brent Rooker, Luis Arraez, Jake Cave and Kyle Garlick in the Twins outfield to open the season. The former top prospect had wrist surgery in July and was limited to only 59 games in 2021. Kirilloff has solid raw power and could be a nice value pick in fantasy drafts after hitting .251/.299/.423 with eight home runs and 34 RBI in 231 plate appearances last year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
