4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Alex Kirilloff (wrist) took batting practice in the cage on Sunday and expects to take batting practice on the field on Monday, according to Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com. Kirilloff says that he expects he'll know within the week whether he'll be able to play through the injury, and that the decision will likely be made whether to undergo surgery or to progress to a rehab assignment. He has been out since the beginning of the month dealing with soreness in his wrist, and has already received a cortisone shot for the ailment. In the first 12 games of his career, Kirilloff made a splash by launching four home runs, as he is slashing .214/.227/.571 on the season.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
