3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd (arm) and relief pitcher Alex Lange (shoulder) were placed on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday after exiting Monday night's game early, according to Jason Beck of MLB.com. Boyd exited his start on Monday night against the Royals in the third inning and now lands on the injured list with left arm discomfort. Later on in the game, Lange exited with right shoulder discomfort after facing four batters. Boyd's placement on the injured list is the bigger blow for Detroit, as he has been in the midst of a solid year that has seen him post a 3-6 record with a 3.44 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 70 2/3 innings of work. In corresponding moves, the Tigers recalled Miguel Del Pozo and Wily Peralta, although neither figures to be fantasy relevant.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
