2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers center Alex Mack agreed to a restructured contract on Thursday. His base salary will drop from $5 million to $1.12 million this year and $3.35 million to $1.165 million next year, giving the team over $4 million in salary cap space for now. Mack has been considering retirement and may not play out the rest of his current deal with San Francisco. The 49ers will likely be looking for an insurance policy at center in case the 36-year-old decides to hang up his cleats before the start of the 2022 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
