Alex Ovechkin Moving Up Power-Play Goals List
6 years agoWashington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin picked up his 11th goal of the season, a power-play marker, in Monday's 4-2 victory against the Edmonton Oilers. It was his 234th career goal on the man advantage, tying him with former Los Angeles Kings sniper Marcel Dionne for eighth on the NHL's career list. The 33-year-old has managed three goals in three games since flipping the calendar from October to November. He'll look to keep it going in a rivalry game Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He had a goal in the 7-6 overtime loss on Oct. 4 in Pittsburgh in the first meeting between the rivals.
