Alex Ovechkin Turns Into Provider On Sunday
3 years agoWashington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin put goal-scoring aside for a minute on Sunday and handed out two assists in a 6-1 victory over the Penguins. He had only one shot in the game with three hits and two blocks. This is Ovi's third multi-point outing across the last four games. He's been hot in front of the goal and already has 26 points to his name, only Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid have managed more this season. Ovechkin recently moved up to the fourth spot on the all-time goals list and is now chasing down Jaromir Jagr -- 24 goals separate the two.
