4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals closer Alex Reyes earned a two-out save in Friday's 5-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds. It looked like Reyes was going to have a day off, as Jordan Hicks came in to pitch the ninth inning of a 5-1 game. But Hicks faced four batters and only got one out, leaving two runners on base for Reyes. The closer came in and allowed both inherited runners to score, but got the last two outs before the Reds could tie the game. In all, Reyes went 2/3 of an inning, allowing two walks and striking out two, earning his fourth save of the season and preserving his 0.00 ERA.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
