7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Alex Reyes said he felt fine after leaving Wednesday's start and said he was not sure why his velocity dropped in the middle innings. The talented right-hander was making his first start since undergoing Tommy John surgery. He was dominant in the first inning as he was in all four of his minor league rehab assignments, but he began to struggle with his control in the second inning and then saw his velocity dip after that. It was an immediate cause for concern, of course, but it seems like it may end up being nothing major. The team was non-committal about whether Reyes will undergo any further testing. Stay tuned.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
