Alex Reyes To Start Game 2 Of Monday's Doubleheader

4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals right-handed pitcher Alex Reyes will get the ball for the second game of Monday’s doubleheader against the Cubs, marking his first Major League start since 2018. Reyes has been severely limited by injuries over the past four years, but heralded as one of the Majors’ top prospects, the hard-throwing righty immediately brings fantasy intrigue to the table. Across 54 career big league innings, he has compiled a 2.17 ERA with just two home runs allowed. Should things go off without a hitch Monday, he would figure to remain among St. Louis’ starting rotation later in the week against Cincinnati, which would give season-long owners a chance to utilize him as a streamer option in all-sized formats.--Jesse Borek
