Alex Smith Throws Two Touchdowns in Loss
7 years agoKansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith was fantastic in the first half of Saturday's 22-21 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Smith completed 19 of 23 passes for 231 yards and two scores in the first half. He finished the game completing 24 of 33 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions. The Chiefs lost tight end Travis Kelce late in the first half, and it changed their offense. Smith had just 33 yards in the final 30 minutes of the game. It may have been the last game for Smith in a Chiefs uniform, but the loss wasn't all on him. He set career highs this season in both passing yards (4,042) and touchdown passes (26). He might not be on the Chiefs next season, but certainly played well enough to remain a starter elsewhere.
