7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder and top hitting prospect Alex Verdugo has been called up, according to a cryptic tweet by his brother Chris. The tweet indicated a move from Oklahoma City to San Francisco, the cities of the club's Triple-A affiliate and where the MLB team is currently playing, and it's unlikely that Chris was referring to himself. Alex Verdugo also posted a video of himself landing in an airport with a green pasture. The only thing keeping the on-base machine that is Verdugo from the bigs was the logjam in the outfield and now that is gone. Matt Kemp injured his quad on Friday night and Yasiel Puig left Saturday's game after crashing into a wall. And even though Chris Taylor hit a home run in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, he hasn't been too hot at the plate. Verdugo could take his lead-off spot as the shot in the arm that the Dodgers need. He's a must-add in 12-teamers or larger and could be a solid producer of runs and OBP. He's also upped his power game in the minors, smashing four HR in 76 AB so far.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
