2 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo (knee) is not in the starting lineup for his team's Friday night game against the Seattle Mariners. Verdugo banged up his knee in Thursday's game, so he will take a seat against Seattle southpaw Marco Gonzales. The Red Sox will go with Franchy Cordero in left field, Rob Refsnyder in right and Jackie Bradley Jr. in center. Verdugo is hitting .251 with three homers, 25 runs and 29 RBI across 207 at-bats in 2022. Look for the Red Sox to update his status at some point after Friday night's game.--Matt T - RotoBaller
