5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Alex Verdugo finished Saturday's 5-3 loss against the Colorado Rockies with three of his team's eight hits in the loss. He had three singles with a run scored and an RBI. It wasn't all great, however, as he also grounded into a double play. Verdugo is now slashing .311/.360/.506, and he has picked up the pace a lot lately. He has three consecutive multi-hit games, and he is 15-for-36 over the past eight contests to bump his average up from .293 to .311 just since June 21. He has hit safely in seven in a row against the Rockies, too.--Daniel Dobish
