Alex Verdugo Hits First Home Run Of The Season
4 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo hit his first home run of the season on Sunday and reached base three times as part of the Red Sox's 14-run outburst against the Orioles. Verdugo got the Red Sox on the board with a three-run home run to left-center in the fourth, a great sign for a player who is at his best when he is using the whole field. Verdugo is still hitting a paltry .212, but his last five games (7-for-22, five extra-base hits) are seasons to be encouraged about his season going forward.
