3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo returned to the lineup Thursday after getting the previous night off, and he had three hits in four at-bats. It's the first time Verdugo has had three hits in a game since June 11. That's an encouraging sign for fantasy managers, but the fact that all three hits were singles is not. Verdugo has just three extra-base hits in July, all of which were doubles. He's still got plenty of potential, but Verdugo deserves to be on fantasy benches until he gets things going.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
