Alex Verdugo Powers Red Sox To Victory
4 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo hit a pair of home runs to lead his team to a 5-3 victory against the Blue Jays on Friday. The 24-year-old went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs, two runs scored, two RBI and one walk in the productive contest, along with a home-run saving catch along the right field wall to rob Blue Jays infielder Travis Shaw of a lead-off home run in the ninth inning. Verdugo has posted three home runs, four RBI, five runs scored, a .294 batting average and .927 OPS through 11 games, making the young outfielder worth owning across standard fantasy formats moving forward.
