3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo reached base in four of his five plate appearances Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies, going 2-for-3 with two walks, two runs scored, and an RBI. Verdugo hasn't homered since June 15, but he's managed to continue to get on base and score runs at a solid clip. For the season, he's slashing .280/.349/.431 with nine home runs, four steals, 55 runs, and 35 RBI. Fantasy managers would surely welcome some more power and RBI, but have to be pleased with the overall solid contributions.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
