Alex Verdugo Succeds In One Of Two Steal Attempts
3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo went 1-for-3 with a walk against Cleveland Sunday, and he attempted to steal second each of his times on base. He was successful in one of those attempts, giving him his sixth steal of the year. He's now been caught twice. Verdugo has been the team's top offensive performer recently, with a .407/.500/.593 slash line in 31 plate appearances over his last seven games. With 12 homers, 76 runs, and 49 RBI this season, he's been an excellent all-around performer this season with upside for more the rest of the way.
