Alex Wood Pitches Well Thursday, Takes No-Decision
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Alex Wood took a no-decision in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Mets. Wood pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on six hits (including a two-run home run) and two walks with five strikeouts. The 30-year-old has had a nice season overall, going 10-4 with a 4.08 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 25.3% strikeout rate. His next start will be a tough one at home against the Brewers. Wood's fantasy floor has been pretty consistent this season, but his ceiling has varied at times. As such, it may not be a bad idea to sit him for this upcoming matchup if fantasy managers are in a position to do so.
