Alex Wood Sharp in Final Rehab Start
5 years agoCincinnati Reds pitcher Alex Wood, who has yet to pitch for his new team after injuring his back in the spring, pitched six strong innings in his final rehab start for the Chattanooga Lookouts this past Monday and looks to make debut for the big club soon. Wood threw 85 pitches over his six innings, giving up one run on four hits while striking out four, picking up the victory and helping to end the Lookouts 14-game losing streak. After pitching Monday night, it looks like Wood will line up to debut for Cincinnati on Tuesday, July 30 when the Reds take on the Pirates at home. Winner of 25 games over the past two seasons, now is a good time to stash Wood away.
