3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Alex Wood gave his team a chance to win but came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 8-6 loss to the Dodgers. Wood pitched 5 innings, allowing three runs on six hits (including a solo home run) and a walk with seven strikeouts. He left the game with a lead, but the Giants' bullpen uncharacteristically fell apart in the later stages of the game. Wood has pitched well this season, going 8-3 with a 3.77 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 25.5% strikeout rate. His next start will be a favorable matchup against the Pirates at home.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
