5 years agoCincinnati Reds starter Alex Wood threw off a mound for the first time since April as he recovers from an ailing back injury. Wood stated he felt "good" after the 20-pitch session and will throw another bullpen session later this week before getting further evaluated. Wood has missed the entire 2019 campaign to date since getting acquired from the Dodgers in the offseason as a part of the Yasiel Puig trade. He appears to be a few weeks away from returning to the majors and isn't worth a stash at this point.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
