6 years agoCincinnati Reds left-hander Alex Wood (back) is scheduled to throw a side session on Monday. Wood has been sidelined since coming down with back soreness after his first spring training start back in late February. Wood is beginning his first season with the Reds after coming over from the Los Angeles Dodgers in an offseason trade. The veteran hurler has been an effective fantasy asset over his career when he's able to take the mound. The problem has been his ability to stay healthy. Wood hasn't topped 153 innings pitched since the 2015 season. He's worth monitoring in deeper fantasy leagues once he's back to full health, just don't count on him to anchor your rotation.--Matt T - RotoBaller
