Alexandar Georgiev On Short End In Shootout
6 years agoNew York Rangers goaltender Alexandar Georgiev allowed two goals on 39 shots in Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss against the Washington Capitals. It was a strange finish, as he initially appeared to stop Caps star Alex Ovechkin in the fourth round of the shootout. However, it was determined Georgiev threw his stick at the puck, knocking it away from Ovie. After review, Ovechkin was awarded the goal. The Rangers are back at it on Tuesday night in Dallas to kick off a road trip, and it's likely All-Star Henrik Lundqvist is back between the pipes.
