Alexander Edler Proving To Be Top Source Of Blocks
6 years agoVancouver Canucks defenseman Alexander Edler put up three shots and eight blocked shots in the 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Edler has already provided offensively for the team so far, with four assists in four games played, but those in blocks leagues are cherishing his talent right now. With eight blocks against the Lightning, that now puts him up to a mind-boggling 24 blocks in only four games, for an average of six blocks per game. While six blocks a game is nowhere near sustainable, his 203 blocked shots last year shows that he is definitely not afraid to put his body in front of the puck. His power-play time as well easily makes him a must-own candidate in all formats.
