Alexander Mattison In Line For Substantial Workload Sunday
4 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison is slated to take over starting running back duties for Sunday’s game versus Atlanta due to the adductor injury to Dalvin Cook (groin). DFS sites have already adjusted Mattison’s price tag, so unfortunately fantasy managers will have to pony up a pretty penny, but season-long managers can attempt to snag Mattison off of the waiver wire and start him if Cooks sits. With Cook’s injury not sounding like a long-term ailment, those managers with waiver wire pool funds shouldn’t overspend on Mattison, who will likely return to a reserve role upon Cook’s return. But as for Sunday, Mattison will face a Falcons Defense that has been shredded to the tune of 32.2 points per game by opposing running backs, tied for the second-highest mark in the league.
