Alexander Mattison Likely To Start Sunday

3 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison is trending towards starting Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Starter Dalvin Cook (ankle) was unable to practice all week, and the team is not particularly confident about his status as of Sunday morning. That would make Mattison, who has made two starts in his career, the lead back against a Seattle defense that has yielded the most fantasy points per game to running backs through two weeks. The 23-year-old would likely have some flex appeal even if Cook is active- but if the star runner can't go, Mattison immediately enters the high-end RB2/low-end RB1 conversation for a potentially high-scoring affair against the Seahawks.--Tim Capurso
