4 years agoIt was a tough night in the Octagon for Alexander Volkov (33-9) on Saturday as he dropped the main event by unanimous decision to rising French star Ciryl Gane. Statistically, Volkov looked good, landing 115 significant strikes and stuffing all four of Gane's takedown tries. For Volkov, he is now 2-2 in his last four bouts, dropping his bouts against the division's top names. Volkov's fantasy value in the future will hinge on his opponent and where they show up in the rankings.
