6 years agoHouston Texans running back Alfred Blue bounced back from a pair of disappointing games to start this year's preseason with a strong, efficient day in Houston's third preseason game. On Saturday against the Rams, Blue carried the ball five times for 45 yards and a touchdown. With D'Onta Foreman (Achilles) still not ready for game action, Blue will likely begin the season as the primary backup to starting running back Lamar Miller. Head coach Bill O'Brien has shown himself to have faith in Blue before, so he's a player worth monitoring on the waiver wire should anything happen to Miller, but Blue's lack of versatility doesn't give him standalone value.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
