Alfred Morris Agrees To Terms With Cowboys
5 years agoFree-agent running back Alfred Morris and the Dallas Cowboys agreed to terms on a deal Monday, according to his representation. Morris spent the 2018 season with the San Francisco 49ers, posting 428 rushing yards and 3.9 yards per carry with two touchdowns in 12 games. He averaged 4.8 yards per tote with the Cowboys in 2017, and is veteran insurance with Ezekiel Elliott holding out. 'Fredo Sauce' isn't someone to target early on draft day, but he isn't a bad backup plan if you plan to draft Zeke in the early rounds. He'll compete with Darius Jackson for the top spot on the depth chart as long as Elliott is on the sidelines, with Tony Pollard still in good shape on passing downs.
