Alfred Morris Belongs Out Of Fantasy Plans
6 years agoWith running back Matt Breida (ankle) banged up and the San Francisco 49ers facing the Arizona Cardinals league-worst rushing defense in Week 8, Alfred Morris is once again in the mix for touches. Unfortunately, Morris has done little with his opportunities, averaging just 4.1 yards per touch. Morris ranks 36th out of 47 qualified backs with 3.6 YPC and factors minimally in the passing game. Despite Breida’s early exit in Week 7, emerging running back Raheem Mostert registered more snaps and thoroughly outplayed Morris. If Breida misses Week 8, the backfield could primarily belong to Mostert. Morris is a contrarian DFS play and will be touchdown-dependent to return value to fantasy speculators.
