Amir Garrett Picks Up Second Save
4 years agoCincinnati Reds left-hander Amir Garrett threw a scoreless 10th inning to save a 6-5 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday. Garrett made things interesting by issuing two walks but he was able to keep Arizona off the scoreboard to nail down his second save of the season. The veteran southpaw is off to a rough start to the season, having allowed five runs in three innings of work while striking out three and walking four. Garrett's role as the team's closer appears to be safe for now.
