3 years agoLos Angeles Kings winger Andreas Athanasiou (undisclosed) has been placed on Injured Reserve, retroactive to March 10, and he will miss an extended period. This is very unfortunate news, as the 27-year-old had really come to life in recent outings, scoring in three straight contests. Sadly, he hasn't managed to stay healthy the whole season and has skated in just 22 games, recording nine goals and 14 points. Athanasiou's absence leaves a spot open on the second line ahead of Saturday's clash with the Sharks. He was also on second power-play duty before getting hurt.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
