5 years agoCarolina Hurricanes right wing Andrei Svechnikov finished Friday's 4-3 loss to Washington with two assists, taking his tally for the season up to 40 points. Ron Francis is the only teenager in franchise history to reach 40 points in a season faster than Svechnikov did. He's yet to miss a game this season and this was his 41st outing. The Russian has scored 17 goals, and he owns a nice plus-15 rating for the year. Only Teuvo Teravainen, who scored a power-play goal on Friday, has managed more points for the Hurricanes this season (41).
