3 years agoCarolina Hurricanes winger Andrei Svechnikov had an explosive start to the season, bagging two goals and an assist in Thursday's 6-3 victory over the Islanders. He put the team on the board with 9:16 played and finished off the scoring inside the final minute of the game with a power-play marker. The 21-year-old Russian talent notched his assist on a Teuvo Teravainen power-play goal. Svechnikov ended up spending over five minutes on the power play and logged 20:06 in total in the end.
