Andrei Svechnikov Signs Eight Year Deal with Carolina Hurricanes
3 years agoAndrei Svechnikov signed an eight-year contract with the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday. The new deal will pay the winger an AAV of $7.75 million. Also, he will see a signing bonus in year one of the deal. That will pay Svechnikov $4,000,037 and overall he will make $6 million in 2021-22. After that, the contract inches up to a high of $10 million in 2025-26 before coming back down to $7, $6, and $8 million during the final three years. Svechnikov received a modified no-trade clause starting in 2025-26 (ten team no-trade list). The right-winger will have a couple of free-agent years bought out as well. He had 15 goals and 42 points in 55 games for Carolina last season. His fantasy outlook expects to only go up from here.
