Andrei Vasilevskiy Posts Another Shutout In Series-Clincher

2 years agoTampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy kept up his amazing record of shutouts in series-clinching games, stopping 49 shots in a 2-0 victory over Florida Monday night. He now has six shutouts in series-clinching games, the most in league history. Patrick Roy is the only goalie with more saves in a series-clinching game since 1955-56, having pushed away 63 pucks in Game 4 of the 1996 Stanley Cup, which was ironically also against the Panthers. Vasilevskiy limited the opposition to just three goals in the series, and the reigning Conn Smythe Trophy winner should be oozing with confidence ahead of the Eastern Conference Finals, entering the action with an 8-3 record, a 2.23 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
