5 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons (ankle) went 2-for-2 to kick off a minor-league rehab assignment with Class A Orem (Utah) on Tuesday, and he followed it up going 1-for-4 with a run scored in Wednesday's game for the Owlz. Simmons will have up to 20 days to rehab, putting him on track to return by early July at the latest. David Fletcher, Zack Cozart and Wilfredo Tovar have each worked to hold down the fort while Simmons has been on the shelf. Once Simmons returns it will be bad news for the fantasy prospects of Fletcher and Tovar.--Daniel Dobish
