3 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Andrelton Simmons (shoulder) is scheduled to face live pitching on Tuesday in Arizona, and he's likely to go on a minor league rehab assignment soon. Simmons remains on a throwing program and has reported feeling around "85-90 percent" with his arm, according to manager David Ross. "I get video of him pretty regularly," Ross said on April 15. "Looks good. Throwing's going well. Ground balls are going well. He feels good. He feels like he's at 85 percent with the arm. So, I don't think he's that far away. It's just getting back to the swings." Until Simmons returns, Nico Hoerner will continue to be the Cubs regular shortstop.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
