6 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons (ankle) was sent back to Anaheim after being seen limping after playing seven innings for Rookie-level Orem. Simmons played four innings Tuesday and seven Wednesday but will return to Anaheim for further treatment as a precautionary measure. Simmons will not travel with the team to St. Louis as originally planned, but the team is still hopeful he can play Tuesday when the team begins a six-game homestand. Simmons batted .292 last season with a .326 wOBA but has been mostly empty batting average for most of his career. He's a useable in deep rotisserie leagues if you need steals or batting average, but he can be left on waivers in most mixed leagues.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
