4 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Andrelton Simmons went 1-for-2 with three walks, two RBI, and two runs scored in Monday's 15-6 win over the Tigers. Simmons cleared the bases in the top of the fifth inning with a two-run single, his second and third RBI of the season. The veteran shortstop is impressing at the plate through four games, with five hits, walks, and runs scored each through his teams' first four games. Simmons can't keep up this torrid pace, but he could be a sneaky waiver wire add in points leagues, as he doesn't strike out often and seems poised to score a fair amount of runs in the Twins' lineup.--Tim Capurso
