6 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons is getting a precautionary MRI on his shoulder after he strained it diving for a ball on Thursday. Reports indicate that Simmons is fine and that the MRI is just the team being cautious. Simmons left the game after rolling over his shoulder while diving for a baseball. The medical team examined him at the field and said everything looked intact. More details are to come, but it sounds like Simmons was able to avoid what could have been a much worse fate. The Gold Glove shortstop hit .278 with 14 home runs and 19 stolen bases last year and is worth a look in the middle rounds in all fantasy formats this year.--patton
