Andres Gimenez Getting A Breather Saturday
3 years agoCleveland Guardians infielder Andres Gimenez is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup again the Toronto Blue Jays. Gimenez is having himself a solid year at the plate thus far, batting .344 with two home runs, one stolen base, and a .895 OPS. Taking his spot in the lineup is Richie Palacios, batting eighth. The rookie is slashing .304/.360/.348 this season over eight games. He showed an ability to hit for average in the minors, hitting .309 in his minor league career. He also racked up 30 stolen bases over 162 games. For fantasy managers needing a batting average and stolen base boost, Palacios isn't a bad waiver wire pickup.
