3 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Andrew Benintendi (rib) has been activated from the injured list and is in the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Twins, according to Anne Rogers of MLB.com. Benintendi has been out for the last three weeks with a right rib hairline fracture, but before then he was having a solid season where he was slashing .283/.340/.429 with eight homers, seven steals, 31 RBI and 31 runs scored over 60 games. In a corresponding move to Benintendi's activation, the Royals optioned Edward Olivares to Triple-A Omaha. In his first game back in action, Benintendi will start in left field and is batting second against Minnesota.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
