Andrew Benintendi Doubles Twice, Extends Hit Streak To Seven
6 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi went 2-for-5 in Saturday's loss to the Blue Jays recording a pair of RBI. Both of his hits went for two-baggers as he's settling back in as the number two hitter in the lineup. Since getting "demoted" from the leadoff spot, Benintendi has thrived batting .310 in 19 games and .333 over his last seven. The left-handed swinger holds a respectable .275 average with seven big flies, 39 runs, 36 RBI, and eight steals on the season, but looks to be turning it around after a slow start to the season. Expect Benintendi to finish the year with sturdy counting stats by year's end as he will flirt with the 20/20 plateau once again.
